SiriusXM cancellation guide

How to Cancel SiriusXM

Where you cancel SiriusXM depends entirely on who bills you. This guide starts with how to find that out.

Quick answer

  • SiriusXM states that subscriptions are available through many providers and that the management and cancellation steps vary by provider.
  • If you do not know which provider you bought from, SiriusXM says to check your bank or credit card statement.
  • Uninstalling the SiriusXM app does not cancel the subscription.

Before you cancel

  • SiriusXM states that if you do not cancel more than 24 hours before your renewal date, the subscription might renew.
  • Once cancelled, the subscription stops at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • For direct-billed subscriptions, SiriusXM also documents cancelling by phone or online chat.

Cancelling a direct-billed subscription

These steps cover a subscription billed by SiriusXM itself — bought over the phone, by mail, or on siriusxm.com.

  1. Open the Online Account Center

Sign in to the SiriusXM Online Account Center.

View SiriusXM's official cancellation article (opens an external site)

  2. Go to the Subscriptions tab

Cancel the subscription from the Subscriptions tab in the Online Account Center.

  3. Or use chat or the phone

SiriusXM also documents chatting with an agent or calling 866-635-8641; call center hours are on its Contact Us page.

Third-party billing

If you bought through the SiriusXM app or another retailer and a company other than SiriusXM bills you, SiriusXM states you must manage the subscription directly with that billing provider.

Apple
A purchase made in the SiriusXM app on an iOS device is billed by Apple. Follow Apple's cancellation instructions; once cancelled the subscription stops at the end of the current billing cycle.
Android (Google Play)
Purchases in the SiriusXM app on Android devices, including Android TV, are billed through Google Play. Follow Google Play's cancellation instructions.
Roku
A purchase on a Roku device is billed by Roku. SiriusXM states you cannot cancel inside the app and must go to my.roku.com on a computer or mobile device, find the channel under active subscriptions, and cancel there.
T-Mobile
If T-Mobile bills you as a postpaid wireless customer, you must cancel with T-Mobile by deselecting the SiriusXM feature in the Manage Add-Ons area of your T-Mobile account or app.
SiriusXM Podcasts+
If bought through Apple Podcasts, cancel via Apple account settings — SiriusXM states that unfollowing a podcast does not cancel the subscription.
  • For both the Apple and Google Play paths SiriusXM states that cancelling later than 24 hours before renewal may still renew, and that uninstalling the app does not cancel.
  • Conditions can differ by region and payment method.

After you cancel

  • If a third party bills you, check the subscription status in that company's account as well.
  • After the current billing cycle ends, check your statement for any further charge.
