Super Duolingo cancellation guide
How to Cancel a Super Duolingo Subscription
Where you cancel depends on how you subscribed — and deleting the app or your account does not do it.
Quick answer
Deleting the app does not cancel it
Duolingo states that deleting the app and/or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- You can cancel at any time, and Duolingo says you cancel based on how you originally started the subscription.
- If you subscribed in the app, you start there and confirm through Google Play, the App Store, or Alipay.
- If you subscribed on a desktop web browser, you cancel in your Duolingo account settings.
- After cancelling you keep Super features for the remainder of the period, and your streak and learning progress are unaffected.
Before you cancel
- Identify where you subscribed: the Duolingo app, your phone or device settings, or a desktop web browser.
- Do not try to cancel by deleting the app or your account — the subscription continues.
- If you need money back, note that cancelling on its own does not refund anything already paid.
