How to cancel Audible

- Spend any unused credits first — they are forfeited the moment you cancel
- Go to audible.com in a browser (desktop or mobile) and sign in with your Amazon credentials
- Hover over your name in the top navigation and select Account Details
- Choose to cancel your membership and work through every confirmation screen
- The Audible app itself has no cancel option, so a browser is required
Refund policy
Membership fees are not refunded when you cancel voluntarily. Your membership stays active until the end of the billing cycle you already paid for.

Supported — eligible members can pause for up to about 90 days within a 12-month period. Billing stops while your library stays accessible.
Before you cancel
Unused credits disappear immediately on cancellation, and they are not refunded. Books you already bought with credits or cash stay in your library permanently, but Plus Catalog titles become unavailable. The Great Listen Guarantee, which lets members return a title, also ends the moment membership does.
Check your credit balance before you cancel. If you have three credits sitting there, buy three books first — you already paid for them, and they vanish otherwise. Also worth checking whether you have more than one Audible membership: people sometimes end up with duplicates under different email addresses tied to the same Amazon account. And deleting the app does nothing to stop billing.
The steps themselves are simple, but the credit forfeiture rule costs people real money because most don't know about it until after cancelling.
